It's celebration time for the FTD Digital team after being named Bingo Affiliate of the Year at the prestigious EGR Operator Awards 2021.
Heralded as the Oscars of iGaming, the EGR Operator Awards acknowledges operators who’ve raised the bar in areas such as customer services, innovation and safer gambling.
So we’re obviously very proud to have landed the Bingo Affiliate of the Year gong – no mean feat considering how stiff the competition was. Our rival nominees were none other than Gambling.com, who also had a big night, as well as Little Star Media.
The award is a big pat on the back for the whole team, especially Sue Dawson, Daniel Callaghan and also Harrison Score who’s put WDW Bingo on the map in a big way. As is the case with BNBS, WDW Bingo is riding high in the SERPS and attracting enormous interest.
Here’s a run-down of notable winners at the EGR Operator Awards 2021.
Bingo Affiliate of the Year – FTD Digital
As the judges remarked, our portals are indeed at the forefront of online bingo marketing. Not only are they optimised and primed for all devices, they feature in-depth content from a highly knowledegable and enthusiastic team.
Affiliate of the Year – Gambling.com Group
Gambling.com beat out fifteen rival nominees to win Affiliate of the Year. 2020/21 was a big year for the company which saw it become the first online gambling affiliate to be publicly traded in the US.
Bingo Operator of the Year – Foxy Bingo
Foxy Bingo went up against brands such as Paddy Power Bingo and Mecca, winning out thanks to an extremely user-friendly platform, as well as innovations in online interactivity and instant cash withdrawals.
In-House Product of the Year – 888.com
888 ran out winners in this category with the judges lavishing praise on its in-house platform, Spectate. Described as a ‘game-changer’, the innovative sports-book platform was first trialled in Sweden before being successfully rolled out in the UK.
Operator of the Year – Entain
Entain was crowned Operator of the Year. Like Gambling.com, it’s been making significant strides in the North American market and boasts twenty-two consecutive quarters of growth. The FTSE 100-listed operator was chosen above thirteen other companies.
This year’s ceremony was held at London’s exclusive Grosvenor House Hotel, marking a return of in-person attendance following 2020’s virtual event. And hundreds of professionals from across all verticals gathered to celebrate and acknowledge some of the industry’s leading lights.
The black-tie event began with an early-evening drinks reception followed by a formal dinner and awards ceremony. Attendees were then treated to an after party which ran into the wee small hours.
