It’s hard to believe that I’ve been attending the wonderful EGR Power Affiliates Summit event for nearly 10 years.
I was first invited in 2017, the year it was held at the Goodwood Festival of Speed here in the UK. Such was the quality of the event that when it returned to its usual venue of the Puente Romano Beach Resort in Marbella the following year, there was no question as to whether I would make the long journey to Spain to be there. I’ve attended every year since apart from 2021 (when pandemic related travel restrictions made it impossible to commit). I even “attended” the virtual edition in 2020 when the in person event couldn’t happen.
The EGR Power Affiliates Summit is an extraordinary event where high powered people from across the iGaming affiliate space come together and talk freely under Chatham House rules. If you want to know what’s really going on in the industry and where things are heading, here you can hear it from the horse’s mouth. Or as someone on LinkedIn rather more elegantly put it:
“This is the room where the conversations that shape the next 12 months actually happen”.
This year’s event was better than ever. Apart from one highly informative panel expertly moderated by Sharon McFarlane from Digital Footprints, all of the content was interactive. As well as some great round table discussions, we had a Mastermind session from Leo Judkins where we got together in teams of four to brainstorm each other’s problems. I also had the opportunity to catch up with many old industry friends.
After post content networking drinks and a short break, we adjourned to the beautiful Chiringuito beach bar for pre dinner networking drinks.

Lively discussions continued over dinner, late into the night and even into breakfast the following morning.
While I can’t disclose the details of the discussions, two subjects were very much to the fore. One was the barrage of black hat negative SEO attacks that have been aimed at iGaming affiliates all over the world and are particularly heinous in the UK space, and the other was AI.
A huge thank you once again to EGR for having me!
