It’s hard to believe that it has been almost twelve months since the last iGB Affiliate conference, and the last ever edition to take place in London.
Statistically, it was a roaring success, with over 8,000 delegates and and more than 200 exhibitors and sponsors attending the iGB affiliate aspect alone – let alone when you throw ICE into the mix!
Of course it’s not Goodbye Forever to London, as we’ll be making the short trip back to the Excel Centre in July, when iGB Live switches from Amsterdam. In the meantime, we’re curious to see what this high stakes first edition of iGB Barcelona looks like.
So it’s official. We’ve booked our plane tickets and hotel rooms, and we’ll be attending the entire conference and then some! Once again it will be the dream team of Chris Humphries, our Commercial Manager, Sue Dawson, Operations Director and myself.
We will be in Barcelona for the entire duration – 20th-23rd January 2025, bookending ICE and iGB, and even celebrating my birthday on the Unwind day.
With an alleged 15°C average January temperature in the Spanish city, we’re certainly looking forward to a slightly less gloomy edition of the first conference of the year.
The venue, the Gran Via at the Fira Barcelona centre, certainly looks up to the task of hosting this prestigious event – but the proof will be in the pudding.
We will be attending some talks and panels, although having just been treated to the schedule at SBC Lisbon, it rather pales in comparison.
Mostly, we’re just looking forward to seeing our close partners, and then meeting some new ones on the conference floor or at one of the many networking events that we’ll be attending.
