It has been announced that Playtech is to integrate casino games from UK developer Probability Jones. The London-listed gambling giant will be offering an assortment of popular casino games through its proprietary Open Platform framework in the coming months. This will include titles such as Red Hot Win Spin, Bird Jewelled, The Everlasting Scratchcard and the soon-to-be-released, Captain Cosmic.
The chance to reach a wider customer base via one of the industry’s most acclaimed casino gaming platforms, as well as being associated with one of its biggest brands, could prove to be a transformative moment for the UK-based outfit.
“Playtech is an impressive company, and this is an important deal for us”
said Probability Jones MD David Newstead.
“The addition of Playtech together with access to all of its clients brings a breadth of new customers and global markets to Probability Jones. This is an exciting opportunity for us both and we’re understandably proud to list Playtech among our distribution partners.”
He went on:
“Probability Jones offers a highly innovative content range, and we’re pleased to be able to offer our customers this new selection expansion and differentiation opportunity.”
Playtech’s Director of Casino James Frendo was slightly more circumspect in his appraisal of the new partnership, preferring instead to emphasise the dynamism of Playtech’s Open Platform (POP).
“We’re pleased to announce our partnership with another visionary company in Probability Jones. The seamless integration provided by POP gives developers the opportunity to deliver their content to audiences in regulated markets worldwide, and offers operators access to an incredibly diverse range of content without having to integrate multiple providers individually.”
Although Frendo demurred in offering his thoughts about the ‘differentiation opportunity’ now available to both Playtech and Probability Jones customers, we’d suggest that he’ll be well-pleased with the deal, not to mention his company’s business activities this past year.
In February, a high-profile deal was struck with GVC Holdings to serve gaming content across all of its online gaming brands. Then in August, Portugal’s leading operator Casino Solverde signed up to use Playtech’s IMS player management platform after similar arrangements were reached with Merkur Gaming and RETAbet.
Probability Jones also landed a number of lucrative deals this summer. July saw the company integrate its games with the Relax Gaming platform, followed a month later by a major agreement to deploy Probability-branded slots across all Nektan Casinos.
Speaking at the time, David Newstead heralded the mobile gaming specialist while expressing his excitement about the new partnership. However, no mention was made of differentiation opportunities. Nevertheless, he remarked:
“Nektan is a fast-growing company with its platforms live across the globe, so providing our games to them made strategic sense. It has been a smooth integration process and the support from Nektan has been impeccable. We are excited to continue working with them and deliver them and their customers with new content over the coming months.”
