Casino software distributor Red Tiger has teamed up with the prestigious Grand Casino Luzern to launch fresh gaming content in Switzerland, as part of a wider strategy to enhance its presence in the country’s newly-regulated gambling market.
News of the deal was announced in a press release on Thursday, in which the award-winning company revealed that all of its games would be available at mycasino.ch, the online casino wing of Grand Casino Luzern. The site previously served as a social casino generating significant visitor numbers before making the jump to real-money gambling.
As a result, Swiss players now have access to an assortment of acclaimed titles launched under the Red Tiger banner such as Mystery Reels and Jack in a Pot.
What is Grand Casino Luzern?
Grand Casino Luzern has already made a name for itself in Switzerland since the introduction of more stringent betting rules, becoming the first of four land-based establishments to receive official licences by Swiss authorities. It launched mycasino.ch at the beginning of July.
Switzerland’s new gambling regulations were unleashed in January 2019 to much fanfare. The laws authorised national land-based establishments to serve live online gambling games while banning foreign operators from running online casinos. However, under the new laws, overseas operators can still partner with Swiss-based outfits.
Red Tiger Press Release
Hence, Red Tiger revealed its intention to work with Swiss-based bricks-and-mortar casinos back in April, after 30 of its games were certified by local regulators. Speaking of yesterday’s lucrative agreement, Commercial Director Chris Looney gushed:
“We are delighted to be launching with Grand Casino Luzern and are looking forward to introducing a host of new players to our titles. Red Tiger is always looking to expand in exciting new markets such as Switzerland, and we’re proud to partner with a well-known, reputable brand and look forward to our future there.”
Said Grand Casino Luzern’s CEO, Wolfgang Bliem:
“Red Tiger’s games have been gathering fans around Europe for some time now and it is a real coup to have access to them. Its most recent titles in particular are proving to be real hits, so we can’t wait to see what else they have in store, and are excited to offer their games on mycasino.ch.”
Red Tiger’s blockbuster partnership with Grand Casino Luzern comes just a week after the operator released its 1000th video slot, Pirates’ Plenty: Battle for Gold. The five-reel, 20 pay-line game is also available to play at mycasino.ch.
